Our Vision

We believe that the ministry of Gospel Light Baptist Church is vitally important to our local community, to the people of Richmond Hill, and even to all those in the Greater Toronto Area.  We want to make a difference in people's lives.  

By God's grace, couples are discovering it's still possible to have a happy, wonderful, and lasting marriage! Husbands, wives, and parents are learning to give the time, love, attention, forgiveness, and words of praise that our families need.  Our youth are being taught respect for authority, honesty, hard work, moral values, and responsibility.  Children are learning to honour and obey their parents.  (Our homes are NOT perfect, but I believe they are happy homes!  And please don't expect our kids to be perfect, but they are becoming good kids that Mom and Dad can be very proud of.)

Our ministry is focused on encouraging Christians to learn God's Word (the Bible), to grow in our love for Him, to mature in our faith, to joyfully live for God each day, and to show His love to others.  We want to help people build better lives and stronger homes and families.

We want to shine a beacon of hope in an often troubled and confusing world.  The preaching of God's Word can help us in every area of our life.  We believe that the Bible is relevant in this generation and that obedience to the Word of God is the key to being a good success in life. 

Our goal is to perhaps someday start a private Christian school where our children can receive a quality God-honouring education in a safe environment.  We also support homeschooling families.  Some families in our church currently homeschool their children and some families send their kids to other Christian schools in the area.

There's something for everyone at Gospel Light Baptist Church!  Our church services and regular activities give people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds a place to make friends with other Christians.  The ministries of the church offer singles, families, and seniors an opportunity to serve the Lord together.

Most importantly, we believe that a person's life can become awesome and amazing through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  We teach people from the Bible how they can have assurance of salvation and know for sure that they will go to Heaven one day.  

Through church "in-reach" ministries, personal outreach ministries, and a strong faith-promise world missions program, we can impact the Greater Toronto Area and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
